Side by Side by Sondheim

Reserved Table Side seating is SOLD OUT for all performances of Side by Side by Sondheim.  General Admission seating is still available online for all shows.

Edina High School Thespians invite you to a theater in the round, cabaret style production of Side by Side by Sondheim, a musical revue.

The sophistication, wit, insight, heart and genius of Broadway's most innovative and influential artist is at the center of this tribute to composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim.

Intimate seating, minimal sets and costumes, a small cast and two pianos allow the brilliant songs to shine.

This dazzling array of some of Sondheimʼs best-known songs features, Company, Follies, A Little Night Music, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, not to mention the classics written with musical theatre giants Leonard Bernstein, Julie Styne, and Richard Rodgers, West Side Story, Gypsy, and Do I Hear A Waltz?

In keeping with the cabaret style, refreshments will be available table side throughout the show. Tickets for refreshments will be sold in the lobby before the show and at intermission. Refreshments will be brought to your table during the show.

We hope you will join us for this exciting and unique night at the theater.

Only 215 seats available per show!

Thanks and congratulations

Congratulations to our thespians who participated in the cast and crews of both "The Diviners" and "The Burial at Thebes" What a fantastic job by all of you. Both plays were so powerful and moving, we are so proud of you!

We'd also like to thank our parent boosters who volunteered to help add to the success of the plays. As usual you were there in full force advertising, hanging posters, ushering, working behind the scenes,  and selling concessions and tickets. It takes a village and we are so lucky to have a village of wonderful Booster volunteers!

Thank you to Jeannie Wallschlaeger, Joan Scott and Molly Harrington for organizing a large group of parent boosters and student thespians who volunteered at the MN One Act Competition on 2/4. What a fantastic job everyone did, it was a very successful event and it led to many compliments from participating schools! Thanks again volunteers we couldn't have done it without you!
