Synopsis of Pretty: A gift is coming and needs to be delivered. The Gods make all of this happen. A messenger is sent to put this grand scheme in to motion. But everyone is involved, we all have a part to play, past and present. Heathcliff is lost in the woods. Sad and hurt, like we all can be sometimes. Miranda is breaking up with the moon. Fate brings them together, but the rest is up to them. In order to be ready for the gift that's on it's way, they must prepare themselves for each other. They must deal with their pasts and confront their fear of the future. If they can continue to go forward without fear, and with honesty, they can receive their gift and journey along the river of life together... as long as they don't "Screw it up!"

The setting of the play: This play takes place in a neo-classical candy land, between real life Minneapolis, England and classic Greek mythology. The true story that this play is based on is the story of a long distance relationship between the UK and US... and the journey to that relationship, over the lives so far, of those involved. And now the little gift that has joined them. In the creation of this play, stories of Greek mythology were incorporated to lend more fantasy to the telling. We exist in this play in a world of metaphor, so at times we are in universal heavens, universal wilderness, a personal hell, a universal cosy home setting and universal river, as the journey of life.
