Synopsis: It is 1959 and a new musical at Boston's Colonial Theatre could be a Broadway smash were it not for the presence of its untalented leading lady, Jessica Cranshaw. She is a triple threat: she can't sing, she can't act, and she can't dance. When she collapses during her opening night curtain call and is declared dead, Lt. Frank Cioffi arrives on the scene to conduct an investigation. The entire company and creative team become suspects and Cioffi sequesters the theater, keeping everyone trapped inside. Cioffi, who has a love for the theater, also focuses his magnifying glass on the show; he repairs the ailing musical within the musical in addition to solving the crime.Through it all, an unexpected romance blooms for the detective as well. "Curtains" is an old-fashioned musical comedy with rousing production numbers and a who-dunit to boot!
